PAO-projecten bestaan altijd uit semi- of ongestructureerde interviews. Door deze 'losse' interviewstructuur en improvisatie van de interviewer tijdens het interview, krijgen deelnemers volop de gelegenheid om te praten over wat zij belangrijk vinden. Op deze manier kunnen we, samen met de deelnemer, oorzakelijke verbanden en hun dieperliggende waarden ontrafelen. Deze zijn cruciaal in Participatief Actieonderzoek, maar ook in andere vormen van kwalitatief onderzoek.
SevenSenses heeft ruime ervaring in (PAO-gerelateerd) interviewen. Onze trainers werken altijd met trainingsacteurs om rollenspellen te faciliteren, waarbij ze cases oefenen die zo dicht mogelijk bij de realiteit komen. Trainingsacteurs kunnen verbale en non-verbale communicatie beter aanvoelen dan wie dan ook en waardevolle feedback hierover geven. Universiteiten sturen ons vaak hun lijst met onderwerpen voor onderzoek (ook niet-PAO-onderzoek), zodat we cases kunnen voorbereiden die studenten in het veld kunnen tegenkomen.

“I returned from my research trip to South Africa a few days ago and, as promised, wanted to get back to you briefly with my fresh impressions! In summary, the trip was very successful. Fortunately, there were no particularly critical or obstructive situations like the ones we practiced with Dieuwke in her malicious alter ego, but almost all other scenarios did occure to a greater or lesser extent, from the person who felt uncertain about the network card, to another who tended to move towards unrelated anekdotes, and a final one who had a stronger dialect than I could process at short notice.
Thank you again for your help, it was definitely very useful and made the second round of practical interviews much easier and more controllable than the first time!! :’)”
