Educational background: Masters in Health Management, Planning and Policy (University of Leeds, UK, 1992), and a background in law and education (Propedeuse Dutch Law, University of Amsterdam, 1985 and Teachers College, Amsterdam, 1977).
She has held management positions within international NGOs, within MSF-Holland for more than two decades, working abroad as country manager and in headquarters as project manager and operational director. Besides, she has set up management trainings for field directors and was responsible for coaching field managers.
Since 1999 she was full time involved in the Antares Foundation as an operational Director. Within the Antares Foundation she was responsible for operational management and organizational development. She played a major role in the design of psycho social support and stress management programs worldwide. Within Antares she was responsible for the overseas projects.
She still works as an independent consultant, in the field of management and humanitarian aid, carrying out assessments and project evaluations.
