Day 3: The Impact
In the execution of projects, we often encounter issues related to insufficient buy-in from stakeholders. Why is the target audience not participating? Why aren’t they utilizing what we offer? Why is the project stalling? And why are there tensions between groups?
In the 3-day participatory action research (PAR) workshop, you will become acquainted with these pitfalls and learn how to create more local support for your project. How can you ensure that your project truly meets the needs of local stakeholders? How can you genuinely involve people in your project? And how can you ensure that they embrace and take over the project, so it becomes well-rooted within the target audience?
Using concrete action research projects from various locations worldwide, Madelon will guide you through the basic principles of PAR and explain how a PAR process works. Then, you will work on your own project using a PAR canvas. You will learn how to integrate PAR into your project in a way that maximizes its potential and achieves the most impact. You will leave with concrete ideas and steps for your project that you can immediately implement!
