Penny is a certified Participatory Action Researcher. She has successfully completed various research projects, including an action research on the sense of safety of women in Rotterdam South and a study commissioned by a large housing corporation in Rotterdam on solutions for maintaining livability in a neighborhood that is being completely restructured.
Born and raised in Rotterdam South, Penny knows the districts and neighborhoods of Rotterdam inside and out. She studied Business Administration and Management of Change and has in-depth knowledge of many themes within the social domain.
Inspired by the strength, ambition, and positivity of the people in the South, she started Bureau Straatliefde in January 2022. Why? Back to the essence, and instead of talking about the people, working with the people it concerns!
